Heliopolis is a dance performance by Pablo Ventura that deals with the fragility of human memory. As a contribution to this contextual background, I have subjected video footage of Shanghai to temporal transformation and destruction processes, that gradually increase in intensity and thereby fracture the continuity and linearity of the original material. The video processing algorithms have been custom developed for this performance.
