This video footage is based on material that has been shot excusively out of train windows. It has subsequently been edited and post-processed to be shown in combination with a reading by author Rita Roedel. The short stories written by Rita Roedel at that time dealt with the perception of movement and it's metaphorical, abstract or absurd connotations. The video material is structured into alternating sequences of high and low visual activity. Stretches of low visual activity consist of short looping footage during which the author read her texts. In the silent pauses in between individual texts, the video material gained in momentum and became visually more dominant while it gradually changed towards the next looping section.
